ABOUT ME

Luke
Boynes

I am accredited as a Clinical Associate in Psychology with the British Psychological Society and currently work as an SCM practitioner in a specialist pathway in the NHS. Working in the NHS for over five years, both in acute mental healthcare and supporting individuals with longstanding emotional challenges, has shaped my understanding of human resilience and the importance of compassionate, grounded support.
Emotional wellbeing mentoring is not therapy, but I will draw on a foundation in psychological principles gained through my learning and frontline mental health experience. I offer non-clinical, skills-based wellbeing support to guide you in managing stress, building emotional awareness, and making realistic, sustainable change.
I’ve worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds, often experiencing overwhelming emotional or mental distress – and I carry forward skills developed from this to support clients in the most appropriate and practical way for them.
On a personal level, I know what it’s like to feel stuck or overwhelmed – and I’ve found immense value in being heard and guided through difficult moments. My own experiences seeking support help shape the empathic and non-judgmental approach I bring to my work. I am also a Type 1 Diabetic, which brings its own emotional, physical and social challenges – and I have been able to use my experiences to help and mentor others living with a chronic disease.
